Biblical errors in the Churches of Christ (esp. London )

These documents are in progress. I have edited them at varying levels of maturity, tolerance and spiritual intensity. Because I don't know when they will be finished to my satisfaction, (it could be years), I will make them available at all stages during their progress.

This main document will be a re-working of two documents I wrote when I left the London Church of Christ.

The first of these documents was to expose errors presented in the book Shining like Stars. This book contains the essence of the doctrine that is taught in the organisation. The language I use in this document is not flattering, precisely because of it of the class of people it discusses. Those high ranking leaders in the ICC, who deliberately twist scripture, in order to uphold their beliefs, and lead others astray. Those that would pervert the Gospel and profess to be teachers of the Gospel, when clearly they aren't.

The second document I actually wrote first and discusses some reasons why I left "the movement" and why I believed their brand of the Gospel is 'no Gospel at all'. This was in the form of a tract that I would give to existing members.

Upon discovering and lurking on the Usenet newsgroup alt.religion.christian.boston-church a few months ago, hearing the same-old defences being regurgitated, and reading of ex-members who are convinced they have left behind their salvation, I dug out these documents and am in the process of re-editing them. They are not perfect and I am combining these into a more coherant document which will be addressed to members, primarily ones who were like myself. That is, regarding the bible is the standard by which, all will be judged. and being totally disillusioned with the church leadership, who just didn't seem very Christ-like.

This is only about 10% complete at the moment.

Please feel free to send comments, errors and suggestions. Good counter arguments will definitely be discussed in the on-going work. After all, the truth is the truth.
